Review: Bloodleaf

Bloodleaf Bloodleaf by Crystal Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Can I just say how enthralled I am with this book?! I was in a recent hole where the first twenty or so pages in a book left me waterlogged. I couldn't find a book to help me; until I picked up Bloodleaf from the library. I started to read it and before I knew it I was almost half-way through!

Aurelia made me giddy with excitement because she was ready to fight and set things right at the very beginning! Aurelia is strong-willed, stubborn, and the best princess I have read about in a very long time! Zan and Nathaniel are amazing characters that I couldn't help but fall in love with. Kate reminded me of my own best friend and I loveee her so much.

Bloodleaf captivated me from the very beginning and I am excited to read the new book!

Review: Four Dead Queens

Four Dead Queens Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If there was ever a book that made me rethink everything I read, it's this one! I feel in love with the queens when we were able to see their point of views, and I fell for our "emotionless" hero as well. Four Dead Queens is a mystery romance book that had me on the edge of my seat the entire way! It only has four stars because it was a little on the repetitive side which had its reasons I know now. Astrid Scholte did an astounding job on how everything was pieced together. It has taken me a few hours to get my review in because I was still in shock on how it ended! Such a great book and one of my favorites of the year so far!

Review: The Coldest Girl in Coldtown

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Death. Gore. Vampires. Love. Horror.

What do you do when you wake up in a bathtub after going to a huge party only to find all of your classmates dead-killed and mauled by vampires? Then finding your ex-boyfriend tied to a bed turning into a vampire with another vampire chained up next to him? You save the vampires and go to Coldtown; a city that was overrun with the undead and walled off from the rest of the world to keep them and everyone else safe from being turned. But once you enter Coldtown, you can never leave again. Will Tana, Aidan, and Gavriel be able to live in peace or will the secrets Gavriel is hiding keep them in danger and never be able to have a happily ever after?

I wasn't able to keep this book down! The twists and turns, the gore and horror, love and hate- It was amazingly perfect and one of my favorite reads of 2019!

Review: Rebel of the Sands

Rebel of the Sands Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rebel of the Sands is defiantly a book that will keep you on your toes! It follows a girl named Amani and how she is finally able to escape her life in Dustwalk with a foreigner named Jin. There are many surprises that will try and separate Jin and Amani but will their love only grow from it? I can't say much to keep from spoiling the book, but if you like guns, magic, love, and rebellion this is the story for you!

Review: Daughter of Dusk

Daughter of Dusk Daughter of Dusk by Livia Blackburne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Livia Blackburne knows how to play with my emotions and throw me for loops. We went and followed Kyra and Tristam as they tried and worked through many of the up and downs that life kept throwing them. I almost threw the book at one point when we were learning about Kyra's parents and I cried so much when Kyra was tried to fit herself into different... groups of people(I'm trying not to spoil the book).
The only reason I gave the book four stars instead of five is because I feel like the book wasn't summed up. Almost feels like there should be a third book. I would love a book about Kyra's parents; or even a book of Kyra's mother!
Such a fantastic book! Highly recommended.

Review: Clockwork Prince

Clockwork Prince Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If there is one thing Cassandra Clare does best, it's taking my emotions and throwing them out the window!
The second book in The Infernal Devices series continues to follow Jess, Will, and Tessa as they try and figure out what the Magisters plan is for the Shadowhunters and Tessa's powers. There are twists at every turn, spies who I had previously cared for, and love and heartache that took my heart and twisted it. I'm afraid to say anymore without spoiling the book! All I know is The Clockwork Princess is going to shred my heart into minuscule pieces and I can't wait.

Review: Onyx and Ivory

Onyx and Ivory Onyx and Ivory by Mindee Arnett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Magic, suspense, romance, and dragons... I can get on board with this.

Onyx and Ivory follows a young woman named Kate and a prince named Corwin. The story tells of their past relationship and how sparks fly when they are near each other. But what happens when they find each other again but secrets plague any hope of a future between them? Can Kate and Corwin make it over the obstacles that keep them seperated or will they never be able to be together again? With Nightdrakes and Daydrakes plaguing Rime at all hours of the day, nobody is safe. Will Kate and Corwin save the country? Or will an unforeseen player thwart their attempts?

Onyx and Ivory was such an invigorating story, I couldn't set it down! I fell in love with so many characters and it had such a great backstory. All of my senses came alive in this book and I actually felt like I was part of the story. Recommended to everyone! Fantastic book!!

Review: Royally Bad

Royally Bad Royally Bad by Nora Flite
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

You mix royalty with gangs and things are bound to get spicy. Royally Bad follows Sammy and Kain during their fiery romance while trying not to get kidnapped and/or killed. To me, there was quite a bit not explained in this story but I'm hoping things become much clearer in the next book. Those scenes though... so much passion I was withering in my seat! I adored being able to read Kain's side of things as the story progressed. Being able to hear what the guy is going through as well is a constant plus to me. Amazing story. Really want to know more about this family!

Review: Charming the Prince

Charming the Prince Charming the Prince by Teresa Medeiros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I did not expect the book to go down that route! I adored the simplicity of the love and how Willow interacting with the children. Charming the Prince is marvelously written-all the children had their own unique personalities and I was able to distinguish who was doing what without even reading their names... and there were a lot! I loved the small details that Teresa Medeiros left out of most of the book that fit together perfectly by the end. Willow is the perfect step-mother, I can't imagine going into a marriage with already a dozen children! Such an amazing book!

Review: Shadow Reaper

Shadow Reaper Shadow Reaper by Amos Cassidy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Can I just say that Shadow Reaper had me on the verge of my seat throughout the entire book? Amos Cassidy sure does know how to keep things interesting! On one hand, I am curious as to what happened with the treaty and why the shadows are communicating with Ash. On the other, I am really wanting Ash to get laid! I almost want Shadow Reaper to be a reverse harem novel for the reason of all the hotties! Avery is drop dead gorgeous, The mysterious Jiva(Who I want to see and hear more about) Cal with his sweet healing heart, and Daemon... I mean damn! I could not get enough of Daemon! Shadow Reaper had left me aching to know more about what is going on in the shadow world!!

Review: The Angel Trials

The Angel Trials The Angel Trials by Michelle Madow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great. Amazing. Informative. Mysterious.

Michelle Madow went all out in The Angel Trials. I was drawn in on the first page and couldn't put it down! The secrets, the intrigue, the connection between Noah and Raven... I am very interested in what happened during the Winter in Europe! Is Raven a human or more? What happened between Noah and his pack? Will vampires help out in the war? I need answers and reading the next book will hopefully give me the answers Raven and I both seek!

Review: Court of Vampires

Court of Vampires Court of Vampires by Megan Linski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Court of Vampires was a very interesting book to read! Almost had a twisted Twilight feel to it, but I liked it. The way Megan Linski connected the Dracula Blood Line and the Romanov Blood Line was brilliant. I especially loved how Lisar interacted with Lysandra while he was healing. It was entertaining how their love was blossoming and how they clicked. Forbidden love, prophecies, and rebellion! Megan Linski did an amazing job putting Court of Vampires together.. Almost felt a tad rushed but they had limited time! Court of Vampires had my heart racing and I'm interested to see how Lisar and Lysandra turn things around in the second book!

Review: Ruined

Ruined Ruined by Amy Tintera
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ruined captivated me from the first page. This book has death, gore, romance, heartbreak, and magic. I honestly don't think you can fit much more into a book, but somehow Amy Tintera did it! I cried so hard during one scene(won't spoil it) that my son was looking at me like I was insane. The emotions were flooding off the page with such intensity I could actually feel how the characters felt! Ruined kept me on my toes as I read it for two days straight! The second book is calling my name!

Review: Inception

Inception Inception by Bianca Scardoni
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Inception was definitely a lot different than most books I have read. I went from liking some characters to hating them to liking them again and vise versa! This book was almost like a mystery to me, I didn't know a lot of the facts until the end of the game and I'm still left with more questions than answers! I am still in shock at how Inception left off! The betrayal and the heartbreak was like crushing my own heart!...~ Bianca Scardoni did amazing on this book and I can not wait to see how our heroine grows with the next book!

Review: Becoming Alpha

Becoming Alpha Becoming Alpha by Aileen Erin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Becoming Alpha is a pretty good book. The story-line is well written, the characters are greatly detailed and lovable. Books about wolves are my soft spot. Make them sexy men who turn into wolves... Even better. Would have given it five stars if the fight scenes were more challenging or if we could have seen Tessa turn into a wolf and fight beside the men... But that makes me want to read the second book that much more! The anticipation is that much bigger to see how she behaves as a wolf and a witch. I loved the way Tessa and her brother interacted with each other. It's always difficult for me to find a great sibling relationship in a story, but I can honestly say that I loved this one. Can't wait to see what becomes of the gang... But Dastien and Donoven... ohhhh man.

Review: The Iron Flower

The Iron Flower The Iron Flower by Laurie Forest
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thought The Black Witch was great... But The Iron Flower blows it out of the water! So much betrayal and heartache. Right when I thought things were growing great for the group, Laurie Frost had to throw huge curve balls and make my emotions go haywire! I cried so much that my husband now thinks I'm insane... I can't get over some of the things that went down in this book. This book is definitely one of the ones that, after you finish, you want to curl up into a tight ball and bawl for days before you can even pick up another book. I am anxiously awaiting the third book... I need to know what happens to the characters that I have fallen in love with! Such a great book!!!

Review: Snow Like Ashes

Snow Like Ashes Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Snow Like Ashes made me cry more than any other book I have ever read. The heartache, betrayal, and war in this book was so heart-wrenching I had to close the book at one point and just cry. Snow Like Ashes is such an amazing book! The main character, Meira, is a strong and independent woman who I would love to be like. Meira grows so much in Snow Like Ashes that I'm curious how she will be in the next book! And let me just say, I'm VERY curious how Meira, Mather, and Theron interact with each other in the next installment!

Review: Clockwork Angel

Clockwork Angel Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cassandra Clare is probably one of my favorite authors now, Clockwork Angel is such a tremendous book! The way Tessa grows with the story line and how she interacts with the Shadowhunters and Vampires is fantastic. I can't choose who I love more, Will or Jem. Both men are gorgeous and are almost like brothers, yet they are so different from each other. Clockwork Angel is full of intrigue and emotions and it kept my eyes glued to the entire thing! I have the second book in my possession right now and I absolutely can't wait to see how things progress in Clockwork Prince!~

Review: The Black Witch

The Black Witch The Black Witch by Laurie Forest
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Black witch is such an amazing story! The moment I picked up the book, I could not put it down; took me several hours and a few missed meals, but The Black Witch kept me completely engaged in the story. I fell in love with many of the characters and even hated a few of them(They deserve it). The thought process and planning that must have went into this book is worth it. Throughout the entire book I felt like I could actually hear and smell all the things that the characters could. A great read!!

Review: Bonds of Cupidity

Bonds of Cupidity Bonds of Cupidity by Raven Kennedy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great. Amazing. Excellent.

Honestly didn't think this series could get any better and yet here we are, this book blew my mind! The steamy love, how the men act with her now that the truth is out, and the story line that keeps getting better as it progresses. I read this entire book in a few hours, it's that amazingly good.

The fairy world gets so much bigger as they travel through it and come across new islands and different people/creatures. The fights scenes are detailed, and it's overall so amazing.

Review: Signs of Cupidity

Signs of Cupidity Signs of Cupidity by Raven Kennedy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great. Great. Great. Need I say more?

Signs of Cupidity is so amazing, the fact that our main character hasn't ever felt love or passion herself is great. She's so vocal, sexual, and easy to read! There is a lot of humor in this book and I love how she gets caught up in the guys punishment and tries to help them out...ish.

The men are such opposites of each other that it works somehow. The way all the characters fight and care for each other is exactly what I like in reverse harems. Such a great novel.

Review: Power of Five

Power of Five Power of Five by Alex Lidell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One of my favorite reverse harems, Power of Five. I absolutely enjoy it when the book has chapters of what the men are thinking and feeling. This book has it all! Humor, sarcasm, betrayal, love, and sacrifice. The way all the characters are written and how they work together, it's a family coming together after thinking it wouldn't happen anymore... Such a great novel!

Review: Hunted: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance

Hunted: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance Hunted: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance by Danica Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hunted is much better than the first book, Slayer. It went into detail about what was happening and I had more of an insight about the workings of the supernatural world and how they operate. I do feel like the romance was rushed a bit in the end but I like how they ended it. Finn is defiantly my favorite romance option for her. I feel like she can help him free himself and how he can ground her. Very curious as to what the next book contains.

The supernatural and demon slayers, can they co-exist? Alivia Knight is a sixteen year old girl who moves in with her aunt after her parents murder. After getting attacked by a vampire, Alivia is told she comes from a long line of demon slayers. After being thrown into the supernatural, Alivia finds out her closets friends are the supernaturals she is supposed to be hunting. This book is a good reverse harem novel. The story line is written pretty well, only wish it went into more detail about what is happening.

Review: Trying To Live With The Dead

Trying To Live With The Dead Trying To Live With The Dead by B.L. Brunnemer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trying To Live With The Dead is a really well written reverse harem. It has ghosts, love, lots of humor, betrayal, and sarcastic remarks out the butt. I absolutely adore the fact that our main character had stuff happen in her past that helped her grow. Our main character, Alexis Delaney, can communicate with the dead. Everything goes wrong when one particular ghost sets her sights on Alexis and her men. Can Alexis save the ghosts and her men? Or is someone damned for hell?

Review: Gypsy Freak

Gypsy Freak Gypsy Freak by Kristy Cunning
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gypsy Freak is the second book in the All The Pretty Monsters Series, and it blew the first book out of the water if that was even possible! The first book, Gypsy Blood, is so amazing. I love the fact that one of the men is... different than the others. A lot of reverse harems men are too perfect and automatically fall at the main characters feet, I love that the men in this book are stubborn and hard-headed. The dark humor in this series is so.... refreshingly dark. Plus having our main character actually be fighting and not relying on other people is really nice as well!

Review: Escape the Sea

Escape the Sea Escape the Sea by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

G. Bailey is by far my favorite reverse harem author. I have read many of her books and I love each and everyone of them. Escape the Sea is another book by her that has blown me away! It is about this young lady named Cassandra who is a Changed One. One race who had started a war and killed millions of people with the gifts that they possess. One night after a night on the town, Cassandra gets noticed and has to run. She is wound up on a ship with six gorgeous pirates who all have stories and pasts of their own. What will happen on board a pirate ship with a women who, if noticed, will be killed or worse? Escape the Sea is a fantastic novel, and one of my favorites.

Review: Point Blank

Point Blank Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Point Blank is the second book in the Alex Rider Series that follows a young secret agent named Alex. Alex is thrown back into the fire when the agency sends him to a mountaintop school where strange things are taking place. Point Blank was a lot better than the first novel Stormbreaker because of the action and the way Alex is growing into being an spy for the MI6. Super anxious to see what other missions our Alex Rider will do.

Review: Stormbreaker

Stormbreaker Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stormbreaker is the first book in the Alex Rider Series, following a young boy named Alex. After Alex's uncle dies under mysterious circumstances, Alex is visted by a man who seems to know something about the way Alex's Uncle died. This is a good book if you like action/spy novels and the occasional humor. Stormbreaker was a nice book to read, almost felt too short for how smooth the story line went.

Blue Bloods Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Blue Bloods is the first book in a eight book series by Melissa de la Cruz. It follows a girl named Schuyler Van Alen who goes to a private school in New York City with privileged teenagers. Schuyler is a wallflower who isn't part of the inner circle. Things start going wrong and Schuyler is wound up in the middle of a fight to save her family and friends. It's a good book, it's a little all over the place and a bit confusing but I like the characters and the story line.

Blue is for Nightmares is the first book in a 5 book series about a girl named Stacey who has nightmares about her best friend who is the target of a crazed stalker. It is full of romance, mystery, and magic. I was hooked on page one and never let it go. The way Laurie Stolarz describes what is happening in the book, I actually felt like I was there too. Review: Six of Crows

Six of Crows Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Six of Crows is the first book in this series. It was actually difficult for me to start reading Six of Crows because Leigh Bardugo has a different style of writing than I'm used to. It was very confusing at first for me, but once I got a few chapters in, it was hard to put down. Inej and Jesper are my favorite characters so far! Jesper is funny, outgoing, and it's interesting seeing how him and Inej are almost like best friends. Inej is a young who I wish I could be. Quiet, opinionated, and scary when needed. The way that Leigh Bardugo made six very different people interact with each other was quite amazing. I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens!

Gypsy's Blood (All The Pretty Monsters, #1)Gypsy's Blood by Kristy Cunning
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me start off by saying I absolutely adore reverse harem books and animes. All the romance, humor, slight jealousy- basically all the feels are my drug of choice. Gypsy's Blood is a wonderful book about a young lady who moves to a small town to run her mother's store. My favorite part about this book is the way you get to see the guys point of views as well as the main character's. Between that and the main characters fighting spirit, I was hooked. This book is completely amazing and Kristy Cunning is one of my favorite authors now!
